On 30 January 2020, trade unions in Ukraine organized a national protest action against the labour reforms in Ukraine.
The Ukrainian trade unions carried “RED CARD” to protest the proposed labour reforms and called on the government to immediately withdraw the proposed laws and begin an open dialogue with the unions. The national protest brought together over 6,000 people in Kiev and over 50,000 people in 19 cites across the country.
BWI President Per Olof Sjoo and BWI Deputy Presidents Dietmar Schafers, and Dave Noonan, sent strong solidarity support messages to the Ukrainian labour movement.
