Sindicatos Globales reiteran su compromiso con la búsqueda de estrategias de implementación del Pacto Mundial para una Migración Segura, Ordenada y Regular (GCM, por sus siglas en inglés) que promuevan justicia social, racial, de género, económica y climática. Estamos listos para trabajar con los estados para promover un nuevo contrato social y una recuperación inclusiva, que ponga a las personas por encima de las ganancias. Por lo tanto, expresamos nuestra decepción con la Declaración de Progreso sobre la implementación del GCM, la cual no incluye un fuerte compromiso con las normas internacionales del trabajo que son fundamentales para garantizar que se respeten los derechos humanos y laborales de los trabajadores y trabajadoras migrantes. On 19 April 2022 more than twenty leaders and activists of the Belarusian Congress of Democratic Trade Unions (BKDP) were detained by the State Security Committee. While some of them were released afterwards, at least ten are still in custody, including the BKDP President, ITUC Vice-President and ILO Governing Body member Aliaksandr Yarashuk, and BKDP Vice-President Siarhei Antusevich.
