BWI and EFBWW release second 2022 joint activity report

The Building and Woodworkers’ International (BWI) and the European Federation of Building and Woodworkers (EFBWW) released their second joint activity report on the campaigns and actions that they have collectively undertaken in 2022.

2022 was a year full of challenges. It was marked by existential threats to humanity and the planet , including the climate crisis, and wars and military conflicts designed by authoritarians and warmongers. As such, EFBWW and BWI once again joined forces and deepened their cooperation to defend workers’ rights and democracy at various levels.

BWI General Secretary Ambet Yuson and EFBWW General Secretary Tom Deleu are both proud of the advances made by BWI and EFBWW in building stronger relationships through joint initiatives and direct actions. “BWI and EFBWW stood together with the working people of Ukraine, campaigned for the recognition of occupational health and safety as a fundamental workers’ right, promoted gender equality, built networks within multinational corporations, and protected migrant workers’ rights.”
