Empowering Migrant Voices: A Global Webinar

BWI will host a global webinar on 8 July wherein different migrant workers and organisations will discuss the challenges and lessons of the COVID-19 pandemic posed to the world of migrant work.

Migrant workers, particularly those without unions, are one of the most vulnerable sectors to the pandemic and the subsequent lockdown measures implemented by many countries. They were one of the first of many workers who lost their jobs and incomes, got stranded in foreign countries and forcibly quarantined in cramped facilities, and bore the brunt of COVID-19 discrimination.

Without a doubt, migrant workers must be provided with the widest array of financial and social measures to help them endure this crisis.

To register and join the webinar, please read the instructions provided in the attached social media card.

There will be interpretation.
