ITUC lists 10 worst countries for workers in 2022

The International Trade Union Confederation (ITUC) released its Global Rights Index for 2022 and listed  this year's 10 worst countries for working people. This was done by rating 148 countries on a scale from 1-5+ based on the degree of respect for workers’ rights, with 1 being the best rating and 5+ the worst rating.

Violations were recorded each year from April to March. Each country was analysed against a list of 97 indicators derived from ILO conventions and jurisprudence. The Index represented violations of workers’ rights in law and practice.
